A specifici application for Verto data integration over vast areas

Abstract

Verto (version 1 and 2), released by IGM, makes Datum Transformations, between WGS84, ROME40 and ED50 by a Bi-Linear interpolation, based on grids with the same extension of a 50000 sheet; at the same time it makes computation of geoid ondulation. This program only work on a sheet per time, so we need more computations for data larger then 50000 sheet. This work deals about the release of a program-utility (Rerry 1.0); this program can make datum trasformation and the computation of geoid ondulation in one step; this fact allows to process data extended by big area, generally larger then a 50000 sheet. Results obtained using Rerry 1.0 and a local grid fitted on experimental data have been compared with values resulting from a seven parameters transformation, in densification networks of Parma and Piacenza.
